Mission, Vision, Values
Our mission:
Our vision:
Veganism is a philosophy and way of life that seeks to exclude, as far as possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of and violence against animals. For us, the purpose of veganism is to put into practice the recognition that humans do not hold moral superiority over other animals, and therefore have no ethical justification to exploit them or treat them as property.
In practice:
For Vegan Life, veganism is understood as a moral position that guides all organizational decisions. It shapes our campaigns, educational content, partnerships, and public communication, ensuring that animals are never framed as resources, commodities, or tools for other goals.
VEGANISM
Equality is the recognition that all sentient beings, human and non-human, possess intrinsic value and should not be treated as property or as means to others’ ends.
In practice:
Vegan Life applies equality by actively working to reduce structural barriers to access and participation. This includes offering free public events, prioritizing Greek-language communication, expanding the use of Greek Sign Language interpretation, and designing outreach that addresses audiences with limited access to reliable information. Equality also informs how animal rights are positioned within broader ethical discussions, without hierarchies of worth or exclusion.
EQUALITY
Solidarity is the commitment to stand with individuals, communities, and collectives facing exploitation, violence, or systemic disadvantage.
In practice:
We practice solidarity through collaborations with animal sanctuaries, grassroots initiatives, and aligned organizations, and by allocating part of our resources to support solidarity actions for both human and non-human animals. Solidarity guides our partnerships and community-based initiatives, while remaining aligned with vegan principles and organizational sustainability.
SOLIDARITY
Lasting social change requires collective effort across disciplines, sectors, and communities.
In practice:
Vegan Life actively builds partnerships with NGOs, scientific experts, institutions, municipalities, and international organizations. Collaboration is approached as shared responsibility and long-term alignment, rather than one-off visibility exchange. Partnerships are selected based on ethical compatibility, credibility, and potential for measurable impact.
COLLABORATION & PARTNERSHIP
Integrity through science means grounding advocacy, education, and public communication in credible, transparent, and up-to-date scientific evidence.
In practice:
All educational materials and campaigns are developed using peer-reviewed research, data from academic institutions, and reputable international organizations. Vegan Life collaborates with experts across disciplines to ensure accuracy and to translate complex scientific and ethical knowledge into accessible public education, avoiding misinformation, sensationalism, or oversimplification.
