Frame the Change: 10 Years of Animal Activism in Greece

Five photographers capture, through their lenses, animal activism in Greece over the past decade: street actions, mobilizations, grassroots groups, and moments from the daily care and rescue of animals in shelters and sanctuaries.

On the occasion of ten years since the founding of Vegan Life, five photographers and animal rights activists present a retrospective of the movement’s development in Greece from 2016 to today.

The exhibition highlights photography not only as a means of documenting and promoting activism, but also as an act of activism in itself, as the creators stand both as witnesses and active participants in the movement.

"These photographs tell stories of oppression and liberation, of rebellion and solidarity, of despair and hope, of rage, justice and love. This is photography as advocacy for social change, as a tool for activism, as a call to action. The photographer looks at the world through their lens and wants to change it. And they ask you to do the same." - Nella Giatrakou
